Malware Warning Resolved on GirlsAskGuys – Dec. 30, 2012
Hello, GirlsAskGuys members! You may have seen this when you tried to access GirlsAskGuys.com today:
No need to panic!!
We have been looking into this issue, and have identified the cause. It was due to an advertisement that started running this morning. We immediately stopped this campaign and cancelled the advertiser.
Rest assured – GirlsAskGuys has no virus or threats. We apologize for the inconvenience and the annoyance. We have contacted Google to remove this warning, and it should be corrected shortly. In the mean time, simply click on “Ignore this warning.”
To avoid this occurrence in the future, we will have a longer approval period for new advertisements, especially for new companies that we start working with.
Again, our apologies, and we appreciate your patience while we resolve this issue.

What is the GirlsAskGuys Notebook feature?
What is the “Notebook” feature?
I often hear questions about various features on GirlsAskGuys, one being the “Notebook” feature. What is it? It’s like a bookmark – it “saves your place” on GirlsAskGuys. My Notebook is a feature that allows you to save questions, answers and stories for later review.
If you land on a question, answer, story, or article, and want to save it for any reason (perhaps you don’t have time to respond at the moment, or maybe you’ll want to refer back to it in the future), simply click on “Note This” near the title. This will automatically save in your Notebook.
To access your Notebook:
1. Sign in to your account
2. Click on the Home page
3. Click on the tab “Account” next to your username
4. Click on the tab “Notebook.”
Don’t be shy about using this feature! It’s a great tool for navigating the site!

Improving the GirlsAskGuys Experience
Your GirlsAskGuys experience is about to get better! We have been making some changes, specifically to reduce any spam that occasionally tries to infiltrate our community!
The following Xper level restrictions have now been launched:
- Xper Level 1, 2, 3 users are only able to ask 1 question in a 24 hour period
- Xper Level 4+ are able to ask 3 questions in a 24 hour period
- Must be Xper Level 3 to post questions, answers, comments, stories in the Sexuality category
- Must be Xper Level 3 to send private messages to other user (If users add each other as a friend, they can send/receive messages regardless of level)
- Must be Xper level 4 to ask Poll question
- Must be Xper level 4 to include links in a post

Featuring a question on GirlsAskGuys
Featuring a question is a great way to get more answers on GirlsAskGuys!
What is a Featured Question?
Featured Questions are the questions kept at the top of ‘Recent Questions’ and its category page for 24 hours. You’ll get much more expose, which leads to more views and thus, more answers!
How do I feature a question?
First, you’ll need to check your account to be sure you have 1000 Xper points to redeem. Then, post your question, and then Contact Us with a link to the question. We feature questions in order of request, and we do not feature questions in the Sexuality category.
This is a great method to get more advice from members!

Meebo Chat on GirlsAskGuys
As many of you have noticed, the Meebo bar on GirlsAskGuys is no longer visible.
Many of you have heard about Google’s acquisition of Meebo, and they have announced that they will be discontinuing many of Meebo’s products. We are still uncertain of our future with Meebo, as we were still experiencing many glitches with the feature as well. We are exploring other options, weighing the pros and cons, and evaluating the best fit for the GirlsAskGuys community. 
We will continue to keep you updated as we make changes and improvements to GirlsAskGuys!

Making improvements to prevent spam in your GirlsAskGuys inbox!
To help prevent Spam in your GirlsAskGuys inbox and on your GirlsAskGuys Wall, there is now an option that will allow you to receive messages ONLY from your GAG friends.
Under Settings, you’ll see the “Privacy Settings” tab. You’ll now see the option “Only friends can send me messages and write on my wall.” By default, this option will be checked for everyone. However, if you do want to receive messages from anyone, regardless of being friends or not, you can un-check it.
This will prevent spammers who come to the site solely to send spam inbox messages!

Do you need a “Reality Check”? Reality Check is a feature of GirlsAskGuys where users can create profiles, and then be rated!
