Why did you come to GirlsAskGuys in the first place? To discover a fail-safe flirty approach? A question about what to do following the first date? Unsure about whether or not it’s the right time to move in with a partner? Post break-up advice and coping mechanisms?

Whatever your question, GirlsAskGuys wants you to find the answers. Last year, we published the How To Get More Answers blog post, and this year, we’ve come up with a “How to Get More Answers – 2.0″!

1. Write a title that includes a key phrase!

Question titles are the first thing a member sees when he/she arrives at GirlsAskGuys, and this is your chance to grab their attention!! Think of it as a newspaper headline peeking out of a corner stand – what would make you buy that paper? Include a couple of words that describe the situation, and avoid phrases such as “Long story, sorry,” “Please answer this,” or “What do you think?” These phrases are used over and over, and turn many members away from your question.

2. Paragraph breaks

I can’t stress this enough – if a member clicks on a question and sees nothing but a wall of text, it’s a TURN-OFF. It’s difficult to read, and leads to the assumption that the question will be long, boring, and confusing. You MUST use your Enter key!! Do it. Do it often. In fact, do it every time you would take a breath while telling a story. Your readers will thank you, and thus, answer you. ;)

3. Feature your question

By redeeming 1000 Xper points, you can feature your question. What exactly does this mean? It means that your question will be kept at the top of “Recent Questions” AND its category page for 24 hours! This exposure is phenomenal, and generates more answers – definitely worth cashing in your points for. Once you post your question, Contact Us with a link, and we will feature it.

4. Post your question on social media

If you’re not shy about getting some answers, try posting your question on your Facebook page, or Tweeting it. You will be introducing your friends to a whole new community, while driving an entirely new group of people to your question, and you may get some insight from someone who knows you. (Obviously, if this is a private matter in which you wish to remain anonymous, we don’t recommend this suggestion).

5. Offer great advice

The more thoughtful, well-stated, and thorough answers you provide, the more Best Answers you will receive. The more Best Answers you receive, the more notoriety you will gain. The more notoriety you gain, the more people will follow you……..get where we’re going with this? If you become a source of helpful advice, people will more likely help YOU when it’s your turn to ask the questions.

I hope this offers a few more helpful hints. If you have a suggestion, comment below!
