Redeem Your Xper Points!

Long-awaited section “Redeem Xper Points” is now live. There are several really cool items that not only we thought you would enjoy but also you said it so in hundreds of emails we have received over the last few months. You can redeem your points for gift cards from iTunes and Amazon or you can claim your GirlsAskGuys T-shirt –available in blue or pink and various sizes – or even better have the question of your choice featured at the top of the recent questions & the question’s category page for a period of 24 hours to get the most exposure. All you need to do is to ask, answer, write and help others to earn more points, which in turn will earn you prizes. Unlike other websites, there is not a limit to how much you can earn and redeem. We are still working on to add more prizes so if you think of a better way to redeem your points, let us know.

Redeeming your points for prizes will not take away from your hard-earned points. It will only deduct the “Redeemable Points” so you can keep track of how many more points you have left to collect more prizes. Follow the link for more on Xper points.

Another change we have implemented over the last couple of weeks is the distribution of the Xper points. This change not only removed some of the technical complications we have faced at times, but also started putting more emphasis on the quality of the entries. For example, if an answer is selected as the best answer by the asker, it will be awarded 10 additional points. Likewise, if a story is featured as an article, it will be awarded a whooping 20 points in addition. Similarly, if a lame, irrelevant, otherwise unhelpful question or answer is removed by one of our moderators, the asker/answerer will be penalized 3 points.

By changing the Xper points, we are hoping that the content on GirlsAskGuys will even be of higher quality and will also reduce the load on our beloved moderators.
